Makeup and Hair Service Agreement: 

Team Availability / Substitutions:

Luminary Beauty’s obligation to provide services is subject to team availability. In the event of illness, accident, emergency, acts of God, or other circumstances beyond Luminary Beauty’s reasonable control, Luminary Beauty may provide a qualified substitute artist.

  • The original pricing will remain the same.

  • If Client does not accept the substitute artist, Client may cancel and receive a refund of all amounts paid, including the deposit, as Client’s sole remedy.

Payments, Deposits, Cancellations & Changes

Balance Due: The remaining balance is due on the day of the event (or prior to service start time, if required). Accepted payment methods: [Venmo / Zelle / cash]. No personal checks.

 

Deposit / Reservation: A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date and time. The booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.

 

Client Cancellation: If Client cancels for any reason, the deposit is non-refundable and may be applied as a cancellation fee for holding the date/time and turning away other work.

Changes: Rates are based on the information provided at booking, including (without limitation) date, start time, service location, number of people, and requested looks/styles. Any change may result in updated pricing and/or schedule adjustments. Client agrees to notify Luminary Beauty immediately if details change.

 

Force Majeure (Acts of God): If services cannot be performed due to events beyond the control of either party (including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, or similar), Luminary Beauty will apply the deposit to a rescheduled date within [6 months] when possible. If rescheduling is not possible, Luminary Beauty will refund amounts paid minus any non-recoverable costs already incurred (if any), to the extent permitted by law.

Products:

All products used are of the highest quality and sanitary conditions. Artist cannot be held responsible or liable for any complications, irritations, burns, or allergic reactions that the client may encounter from the products or services rendered. Upon signing this agreement, the client has agreed to full responsibility for anyone of his/her party who received service.

Home Service:

The Artist will do their best to respect a client's home. If in an event, the artist damages or disrupts the client's home, this is at the client's own risk. All pets do need to be placed safely away from the working session, as the artist will be working with chemicals, (ie, hairspray, makeup products), and hot hair tools that may cause issues near their pet. 

Photography usage: 

The service team is entitled to photos taken during the event per artist's request agreed between client and artist, verbal or written. In the event the photos are used for promotional purposes, (website, social media pages) the client can request the service team not to be used.

Agreement

This agreement set forth the entire agreement between the parties and may not be amended by agreement below. This project agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to the principles of conflicts of law. In any action or proceeding involving a dispute between the client and the artist arising out of this project agreement, the prevailing party will be entitled to receive from the losing party reasonable attorney’s fees.
